WA DESING GALLERY

Yama Tana

Yama Tana have numerous meanings: by their origins and their forms, these marble creations are the paths leading to some upside-down Japanese landscapes.
Thanks to the vision of a gallery, the talent of a designer and the know-how of a marble maker, this set com- posed of shelves and vases came to the surface: they are the meeting points of creative and poetic dialogues between José Lévy and WA Design Gallery. These blocks are tales of stone and light.

Mixing art, craft and design, the Yama Tana rase from these shared loves of Japan, materials and well-ma- nufacturing. These memories of mountainous, uncertain, rough and deep landscapes are totally sensitive. So, the choice of marble was clear. Who better than a marble worker from Carrara to shape one of the most beautiful black marbles in the world, the Nero Marquina.

Thus were born these stone landscapes on which light plays.
